I Sold My Cards on Ebay!!! :-O

Aren't they cute! I'm so excited. I didn't think they'd sell, but they did! I'm thinking about making a bunch and selling them next year at the Assembly for Missions. (Is that even allowed?) I can do several designs for each season as well as birthdays and wedding and baby showers. Fun, fun, fun! :D I'll try to post pics as I make different ones.

Why would you think they wouldn't sell? There are adorably cute! I wasn't aware that you dabbled in that kind of craftiness...very talented.

I've been trying to encourage everyone to make things to sell at the Mission Table at the Assembly this coming year. There wasn't much of anything on it this past year and we need to boost our Mission funds. That's what I've been embroidering the tea towels and pillowcases for--the Mission Table. It would make it easier for the workers if you packed them in zip locks, or tied a ribbon around them in bundles and put a suggested price on them.

Aw, thanks, Sister Tammi. I have to give a lot of the credit to my Cricut, but I came up with the design and pieced them together, which is tedious but somehow fun. HA!

I'll do that, Sister Smith. I really like the ribbon idea. Wow, I've only got like seven months or something. I better get busy!!!! HA!

Those are way cute! That is so neat that you were able to sell them on E-bay.

I would think they would sell well at the Mission table. Good idea!

Well, you have me beat. Way too crafty for me. Just give me a pencil/paintbrush and I can handle it. I don't need another machine to have to try and make do what I want. I'll stick to the old-fashion way-CRAYOLA. They are really cute. Congrats!

Thanks, Rebecca and Annette. It was neat to sell them. Anthony and I are trying to figure out the best way to make a business out of it and become millionaires. ;-)

Yeah, right. *rolling eyes*

Sister Smith, I wonder if it'd be a good idea to go ahead and put an announcement in the Evening Light to try and rally support for next year. Give people time to start crafting, ya know? Hmmmmm....

Just a thought. :D

Oops! Rebekah, I just realized I misspelled your name. I apologize.

Very cute! The Mission Table is a GREAT idea. But DEFINITELY put a price on them before you donate them! One year "a friend" made some adorably cute cards and sent them to the Assembly to be sold at the Mission table. My cousin bought a pack of 5 or 6 of them... for $1.00!!! It cost a whole lot more than that to MAKE the cards, but whoever was working the table obviously didn't know it. I'm sure the lady meant well, but I was shocked and appalled! Ha! So BE SURE to put a decent price on them before you hand 'em over. ;-)

We're planning on putting an ad in the January EL boosting the Mission Table. We didn't want to overwhelm the women of TCOG by mentioning it in the middle of the Christmas rush. The start of the new year will hopefully spur our women to start fresh on their Mission Table crafting. We may also offer the 2009 WMB calendar for sale since it's turning out so nice.

Isn't it crazy that the picture of CARDS got 10 comments (11 now) and the pictures of your SON only got 4?!?!? I hate it when things like that happen on my blog! Ha! Bloggers are a strange crew, I tell ya'. ;-)

HA! I was thinking that too. Thanks for saying it, Becki. ;-) tee hee

I thought maybe I hadn't given it enough days before I put up the new post. I don't know.

My momma is a card maker too! She uses stampin up and is a demonstrator, I personally don't have the patience. But enjoy the efforts of others! haha
